Appart of that, staff and guests made us feel much more welcome and were much friendly. you will feel you are one of the first steping on its virgin beach surrounded by jungle, but still it’s a great base to get easily to the main road and visit every beach with your scooter (we stayed first in Sin Htauk resort, but it was quite far from the road and for 1 or 2 nights it was ok, but later on we got tired of doing the entire way again and again). read more reasons: the environment is more authentic, more savage, the landscape is simply beautiful. We stayed in them both for a few days, and we can recommend you this one the better for many. There are only 2 resorts in this part of Dawei. the beach is very nice though, could see the sunset and sunrise then leave early to catch the 9am bus. Not very welcoming, not really what you usually find in Burma. They called back the boss of the paradise bungalows and he finally accepted me camping for a mere 10000ks including nothing, 100% benefit (my own tent and mattress, on the beach not in the compound, ok to use restaurant's toilet and an old place with bucket water for shower). I refused, too dangerous and too expensive. I was supposed to go back to Dawei (3h mostly night ride on a moto-taxi with my big backpack) and pay 20000ks. It turned out being impossible then a lot of people for involved including the village chief, a phone call to the police. They sent me back to the village saying I could sleep in the monastery. When I started asking for a lower price (my own tent and mattress on the beach) then they say not possible after calling the boss. They first said ok but for 20000ks including breakfast (luckily). read more pitch my tent and pay to use their facilities.
